Ross says its been too long since I updated our blog so I guess I should do something about that! :)
Since my last post, my grandparents have traveled back to Arkansas where they will be staying 4-5 weeks. Papa will start some extensive treatments. I don't know all the details but the doctor was very hopeful and said she didn't foresee any problems with the process since he was in such good health for this condition. She did, however, say that if he did not complete this treatment, then he would have approximately 2 months to live. With a successful transplant, he will have probably 2-3 years. This was very hard for me to hear at first because 2-3 years doesn't seem like a long time, but that's just 2-3 more years to spend time with him and pray for a miracle. We serve a healing God.
Also, we have continued our marriage sermon series at church. This past Sunday morning, my mom preached and spoke on healing from past hurts, relationships, abuses, and wrongs that we bring into our new relationships/marriages. It was a very powerful message and I'm so proud of her. She's an amazing woman of God.
UK has been on a quite the winning streak this basketball season so that means Ross is one very happy boy. He hoots and hollers and you'd think he was sitting on the bench with the rest of the team, but I think its pretty cute (most of the time).
Last night, we had our connection group at our house to watch the Superbowl and eat pizza/snacks. I think we all had more fun watching/critiquing the commercials that the game itself.
We dropped my parents off at the airport this morning for their annual trip to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. They meet with AG missionaries and directors there once a year to get updates, have meetings, and plan for future agendas.
I think that catches everyone up in our lives. I'll try to do more regular posts to keep everyone (Ross) happy. :)
